You don’t have to fix your thoughts.
Or fight them.
Or believe them.
You can just watch them.
The Observer is your quiet witness.
The part of you that sees without commentary.
The presence that notices without judgment.
Most of us never meet the Observer.
We’re too busy listening to the Monarch.
Too entangled in the Loop Keeper’s stories.
Too convinced that every thought is true, every feeling urgent.
But there is another way.
When you Drop, you reveal the Observer.
With distance, you can see the whole game.
Thoughts arise, swirl, and dissolve.
Sensations come and go.
Emotions peak and fade.
All of it, just happening.
You let go of being right.
Of picking sides.
Of believing the hype.
Nothing to fix.
Nothing to solve.
Nothing to become.
Just this.
The Observer isn’t passive.
It’s not checked out.
It’s not a bypass of reality.
It’s radically engaged—just unattached.
It sees the TEARs (Thoughts → Emotions → Actions → Rewards).
It sees how your system gets hijacked.
It notices the trance.
And in that noticing, the trance begins to loosen.
You wake up.
Judgment softens.
You start to see people as they are.
Not as you fear or wish them to be.
You see systems as they are: constructed, imperfect, often harmful.
Sometimes beautiful.
You see yourself with clarity and compassion.
You shift from material to energetic.
From solid to fluid.
From concrete ideas to “waves and wiggles,” as Alan Watts would say.
The deeper reality is a place
Where the lines blur.
Where life stops being a problem to solve.
And becomes an experience to witness.
And then… clarity.
The place from which to act.
A Joyful Rebellion.
The Observer isn’t an endpoint.
It’s a doorway.
When you rest in it, something miraculous happens:
Your Spark starts to flicker again.
You become RaD.
New possibilities emerge.
Creativity returns.
You see the next right step.
Not the step driven by fear or approval.
But the one that feels alive.
Aligned.
Yours.
Michael Meade tells a story:
We are each a fragment of a great tree, shattered into countless pieces.
On one side of each fragment, nothing is written.
On the other, our true calling is inscribed.
The Observer helps us turn the shard over.
To remember what we came here to express.
To see through the noise and rediscover the song that only we can sing.
This is why we practice.
Why we meditate.
Why we Drop.
Not to transcend the world.
But to meet it with clear eyes and an open heart.
To unhook from the Monarch’s trance.
To reclaim the Spark.
And to remember:
You were never meant to be a passive subject of your own mind.
You were born to see.
To choose.
To create.

Jeremy, I love the push to observe - we are always trying to make sense and make conclusions based on the thoughts in our minds, but to see clearly, maybe the first step is to lean back and observe?
Wow!!!!!!! I’ve never felt so seen… it’s like you just unraveled the chaos in my mind
